February 6 (WASHINGTON): MFAN applauds the recent approval by the House and Senate and the signing into law by the President of the FY2026 National Security and Department of State Appropriations bill. We commend the bipartisan leaders of the Appropriations Committees for crafting a final agreement that minimizes proposed funding cuts and preserves many key investments in development and humanitarian assistance.
The agreement also includes important measures to enhance aid effectiveness and accountability, boost innovation, and maintain support for locally led development. We look forward to the Administration’s plans for putting these resources to work effectively.
